The Energy Saving Co Wins a Green Apple Award
We have just received some fantastic news. The Energy Saving Co has won a Green Apple award for environmental best practice. Our goal is to encourage business to adopt green
practises by example and it is this commitment to driving forward energy use reduction that has done us proud.
The actual award ceremony itself will take place at the House of Commons on November 17th.

President Sarchozy yesterday admitted that France was introducing a Carbon Tax to households and small businesses as large corporations already had in place energy saving measures and to increase carbon taxation on large corporations would make them uncompetitive in a global market.
As his comments came following the recent G20 summit, is it possible that our government has made the same decision but is not being honest about it. If small businesses wait until carbon taxation schemes are introduced will they panic and sign up to “Energy Saving Schemes” that are expected to multiply. They would be far wiser to commit to an energy audit by a Blue Chip company like British Gas who will deliver economical results.
This is very disturbing and in the current economic climate and potentially another blow to the hard working small business. I am sure that most businesses in their own way are taking small steps to reduce energy savings. So now is the time to make the steps more signifcant and increase their footprint(pardon the pun)
I look forward to the information on your site building up and will certainly make my client base aware of the initiatives you guys have in place.
Ah the joys of blogging.
Just to clarify my previous comment. My reference to a company increasing their footprint was not a reference to increasing their Carbon Footprint, because that would be oh so wrong….. What I was refering to was the fact that they need to make and take larger steps(create a bigger Carbon Reduction footprint)by improving the activities they currently have in place to save energy and subsequently reduce carbon output.
